The Volcanic Stone Tables from Deruta, Italy are produced by Roberto Domiziani, an artist who has gained fame for his modern design along with his interpretation of traditional patterns. The tables are completely hand-painted enameled volcanic stone. The finished product is a unique blend of resistance and beauty.

Production
The volcanic stone is selected from a rock quarry. It is transported and cut into the various table shapes according to the size and shape of the stone. It is fired the first time.

The tables are hand frescoed in elegant patterns and fired a second time. The antiqued surface has been sealed to provide impermeability, allowing it to be used indoors or out. The variations in color and uneven surface are normal characteristics of the product.





The tables are highly resistant to the elements of heat, cold, rain and snow. For winters in Minnesota or like climates, it is recommended to cover the table top with a tarp if it is going to remain outdoors.

Bases and Chairs
The table bases and chairs complete and add value to the tables, whether indoor or out. They are made of galvanized and powder-coated iron. The bases are custom made for the tables.

Assembly
The tabletops are held on the base by their weight. They assemble in a few minutes. An adjustable wrench is the only assembly tool needed in addition to the allen wrench shipped with your table base. If you have any questions while assembling, our friendly staff is here to help at (507) 252-5234.

Shipping
As for any Sopra Sotto purchase, delivery is FREE in a 30 mile radius of Rochester, MN by our van and driver. Delivery of the tables is available by our van in a hundred mile radius for a fee. The smaller tables can be shipped UPS. The larger tables are shipped long distances by a moving company that we contract with. The tables are shipped on custom constructed wood pallets and enjoy a smooth ride in the moving trucks. For Standard Delivery, the moving truck must be able to drive to the end of the driveway of the residence or business and roll the crated table on a palate lift into the garage. Additional arrangements can be made with the moving company, for additional fees. Standard Delivery charges from our location in Minnesota to locations such as Georgia, Florida and Southern Illinois have been approximately $600 for the table and base. Delivery charges are custom quoted by the moving company for each individual destination.
