U. Grazia Maioliche Ceramics - Deruta Verde Fondo Giallo

Deruta Verde Fondo Giallo (Deruta green on yellow background) features a new twist on the traditional wheat shaft design for which Deruta is known. Striking in soft green against a rich golden yellow with red flowers and a cobalt border, this design was popular in 16th century Deruta. In the 1990's, a friend brought Ubaldo Grazia a tile found in a ruined country chapel bearing the polychrome design "Dvfg." Grazia put the pattern back into production and it became an immediate success and was carried by Neiman Marcus for many years.
